Charlie Hahn, 212th 66-67

From Charlie’s children:We are posting the sad news that our father passed away on April 4th after a long battle with cancer. Charles (“Charlie”) Joseph Hahn, 77, of Easton passed on April 4, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Born in New York City on July 17th, 1943, he was the son of the late Robert and Marie Hahn. He served his country in Vietnam as a sentry dog handler and maintained connections with his fellow dog handlers even to the present.In 1973, he married the late Bridget Anne Hahn (nee Murphy) of Ballyduff, County Kerry, Ireland. They were married until her passing in 2010.Charlie was the loving and very supportive father of his two children. While they were young, Charlie spent most of his spare time with his children. Whether taking them to parks or the movies, Charlie always made time for his children.Charlie worked for over 40 years in the brokerage houses of Wall Street before retiring of Easton, MD more than 15 years ago.After retiring to Easton, “Good Time” Charlie was a regular and popular presence with the lunch crowd; he was always ready with a joke or story (and he was a good tipper).Charlie was a sweet grandpa to his “little Bridget”. He enjoyed reading Dr. Seuss stories to her and making her laugh. He is survived by his son, Brian Hahn of Easton, MD; his daughter, Jeanette Hahn and granddaughter Bridget Hock of Bethesda, MD; his brother, Raymond Hahn, and sister, Dolores Rimkunas.For online condolences, friends will be able to share shortly at www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
