AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest at Eisenhower Army Medical Center on November 17, 2012, SFC Retired Jose M. Balbag, husband of the late Juliana V. Balbag of Augusta. Jose was retired from the U.S. Army after 25 years of service. He worked part time for Richmond County Board of Education. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was the son of the late Ambrocio and Modesta Balbag. He was preceded in death by his wife Juliana and two sons, Jonathan and Jeffery. Survivors: 4 sons, Derek Balbag, Dean Balbag, Douglas Balbag, Ryan Balbag; 1 daughter, Dayna Breault; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father Thomas Healy officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Rosary service will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Thomas L. King Funeral Home.
