He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Eddie Henry Ellingson and Anne Hudak Ellingson; his wife Carol A. Stradley Ellingson; his step-children, Nadine Hathaway of Moses Lake, Nathan Gruver of Greeley, Jonathan Gruver and Daniel Gruver; and his sisters, Liz Yando, Caroline Stolldorf and Gloria Adams.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2020 at 1:30 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park (801 Sunset Dr, Hoquiam, WA 98550).
